PTS — Pedestrian Traffic System

PTS Standard configuration

Typical uses. Exterior walkways, service corridors, terraces and standard pedestrian areas where a simplified HPP system is appropriate.

Uses HPP or CBE at a reduced build with light broadcast texture to provide a practical pedestrian traffic surface. HPP is used where UV-stable exterior performance is required. Slip resistance is achieved through broadcast aggregate — silica sand, or quartz as an alternate decorative media.

PTS+ Balcony / outdoor configuration

Typical uses. Balconies over occupied space, wood-framed or movement-prone balcony assemblies, and pedestrian balcony applications where enhanced crack-bridging and movement accommodation are required.

The dedicated balcony flexible-base pedestrian configuration. An enhanced single-component polyurethane membrane thickness beneath the finish coat provides greater elongation, crack-bridging and movement accommodation.

The design guide also lists CRU as an alternative surface coat for this configuration. That alternative, and the guidance on when to use it instead of HPP, is awaiting confirmation of the current CRU kit and is not shown.
