Information card shown. A photograph of the 22.7 kg (50 lb) SLT bag will be added when supplied; the earlier 25 kg SLC bag render has been withdrawn.
Formerly ResinTech SLC — Professional Self-Levelling Cement. SLT is the same product line, now supplied in a 22.7 kg (50 lb) bag. Mixing water, application thickness, coverage and shelf life changed with the new bag — use the SLT documents below; the SLC Version 1.0 documents are superseded.
What SLT is
SLT is poured in place at 5–40 mm and cures to a hard, seamless floor that is intended to remain exposed as the finished wear surface — sealed with a compatible sealer or clear topcoat, or mechanically ground and polished. As a secondary use it is a levelling underlayment beneath epoxy, polyaspartic, resin, tile and vinyl systems.
Packaging, mixing water, thickness, yield and shelf life are taken from the current ResinTech SLT product label and specification. Performance values are the manufacturer's declared values to JC/T 985-2017, carried forward from the former SLC data sheet; the ASTM methods shown are North American equivalents for comparison only. Where a specification requires ASTM-tested results, request ASTM testing from ResinTech.
Packaging
| Component | Size |
|---|---|
| Dry powder | 22.7 kg (50 lb) bag |
Mixing water: 4.5–5.0 L clean water per 22.7 kg bag (≈ 20–22 % by weight). Do not exceed 5.0 L.
Supported applications
- Finished floor topping — seamless cementitious wear surface, sealed or polished
- Smooth, walk-on floors for commercial, retail and residential interiors
- Exterior slabs, patios and walkways where the topping is protected from de-icing salts and standing water (see Limitations)
- Renovation and resurfacing over sound existing concrete
- Industrial and warehouse floor toppings — seal or topcoat to suit the traffic
- Secondary use: levelling underlayment beneath epoxy, polyaspartic, resin, tile and vinyl systems
Role in ResinTech systems: Levelling topping or underlayment beneath resin flooring; not a traffic-system material. See the traffic coating systems.

Coverage
Theoretical, from the label yield of 15 kg/m² at 10 mm on a smooth, level substrate: coverage per bag = 22.7 kg ÷ (1.5 kg/m² per mm × thickness). Excludes waste, profile, porosity and priming — verify by mock-up.
| Thickness | Consumption | Coverage per 22.7 kg bag | Bags per 10 m² | Bags per 100 ft² |

| 40 mm (maximum) | 60.0 kg/m² | ≈ 0.4 m² (≈ 4.1 ft²) | ≈ 26.4 | ≈ 24.6 |
Application conditions
| Condition | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Substrate | Clean, structurally sound, free of oil, grease, dust, laitance, curing compounds and loose material; mechanically prepared (grinding or shot-blasting) |
| Moisture | Substrate moisture < 4 %; confirm an acceptable moisture vapour emission rate; no active water ingress or rising damp |
| Priming | May be required depending on porosity; prime highly porous or absorbent substrates |
| Mixing | Low-speed drill and paddle, 2–3 minutes, to a smooth, lump-free, pourable consistency; 4.5–5.0 L water per bag, never more |
| Placing | Gauge rake or pin screed at 5–40 mm; spiked roller to release air; work continuously and avoid cold joints |
| Finishing | Sealed: seal once an acceptable moisture content is reached. Polished: grind and polish after strength gain (not before 24 h; confirm by mock-up), then densify/seal. Underlayment: overcoat after required strength and moisture content; confirm the finish system's overcoat window |
Limitations
- Apply within 5–40 mm only.
- Exterior use is a ResinTech product-use statement: no freeze–thaw or de-icing-salt data has been published. Confirm with ResinTech for exposed, saturated-freezing or salted locations and protect the surface with a suitable sealer.
- Polished finish: no polishing procedure or gloss data published — establish by mock-up.
- For exposed topping use, seal or polish-and-densify; for heavy industrial or vehicular traffic, use a flooring / topcoat system rather than leaving SLT bare.
- Do not apply outside 5–35 °C or over active water ingress.
- SLT is a cementitious topping, not a waterproofing membrane.
- Use within 6 months of production. Contains Portland cement and crystalline silica — see the SDS; use wet methods or HEPA extraction when grinding.
An alternative to Mapei® Ultratop® PC and SikaLevel®-250
Specifiers often search for a polishable self-levelling topping by brand. ResinTech SLT is an alternative in the same category: a 50 lb bag, 5–40 mm, self-levelling cementitious topping that can be left exposed, sealed or polished. Published figures from each manufacturer's current Canadian data sheet are compared on the Canopus Supply product page; the comparison is for product selection and is not a claim of equivalence. Questions and answers
Can SLT be left as the finished floor?
Yes. SLT is a finished floor topping: seal the cured surface with a compatible sealer or clear topcoat, or grind and polish it and apply a densifier/sealer. For heavy industrial or vehicular traffic, use a flooring / topcoat system over it.
Can SLT be polished?
ResinTech states the cured topping can be mechanically ground and polished. No polishing procedure or gloss data has been published yet, so establish the grinding sequence, start time (not before 24 h) and expected appearance by site mock-up.
Can SLT be used outdoors?
ResinTech states SLT is suitable for interior and exterior floors. No freeze–thaw or de-icing-salt test data has been published; for exterior floors that freeze while saturated or see de-icing salts, confirm suitability with ResinTech for the specific project and protect the surface with a suitable sealer.
How much water per bag?
4.5–5.0 L of clean water per 22.7 kg (50 lb) bag — about 20–22 % by weight. Over-watering reduces strength and increases shrinkage.
How far does a bag go?
About 1.5 m² (16.3 ft²) per bag at 10 mm, based on the label yield of 15 kg/m² at 10 mm. The figure is theoretical: allow for substrate profile, porosity and waste, and verify by mock-up.
What thickness can SLT be applied at?
5–40 mm. Thicknesses outside that range and multi-layer builds are not covered by the data sheet — contact ResinTech before specifying them.
Is SLT the same as ResinTech SLC?
SLT is the renamed and repackaged SLC. It now comes in a 22.7 kg (50 lb) bag with revised mixing water, thickness, coverage and shelf-life figures. Use the SLT TDS v2.1 and SDS v2.0; the SLC documents are superseded.
Are the test values ASTM results?
No. Values are the manufacturer's declared values to JC/T 985-2017; the ASTM methods are shown as equivalents for comparison only. Request ASTM testing from ResinTech where a specification requires it.
